Done to death by focusing on just one or two in any game, wow, maybe even 3. (Am I meant to get excited by that, really?)
To me, it has to be variety, like not just those, but a whole lotta different, innovative scenarios. Don't do any of them more than twice, move on, create something different, a new scenario with a different kink or character, not just keep trotting out the same five.
That shit gets boring and loses steam, for real. I sometimes don't even care if I get a choice or not, if its interestingly different from what has gone before.
Some of the best are "all over the shop", some of the worst are like predetermined, telegraphed train-track stuff, and just plain boring.
Spicy, man, keep it spicy.....let her be a slut, but an interesting one, placed in a wide range of activities, with individuality and integrity, and in this thread, honesty about who she is in love with and who shares that path.
Lying, cheating whores belong in NTR, lol.

Is this in reference to my post? I was talking about NTS game scenarios, and what I see as wrong about all the "general" tropes being used.
The last line is actually just a throwaway, disclaiming lying cheaters as NOT belonging in NTS, but rather should only be in NTR.
I was actually saying that I don't like lying cheaters in sharing games either, in fact I hate it rabidly....for either partner

Reminds me of Thot on Trial. I haven't played the last 2 updates but I heard the wife cheating is forced.
Like I have no issue against NTR depending on the context of the game and if I know about it going in and depending how the choices appear. However Thot on Trial gave me the illusion there could be a faithful or a sharing path that would feel rushed / forced. Granted you can tell NTR was the main focus but the fact it made me think there will be other paths because of choices or the MC's thoughts feels real shitty.

TOT actually telegraphed that it was all about NTR literally in the first two seconds. I'd even separate those terms further - as for me I see a lot of tropes occuring specifically in games referred to as "netorase" as opposed to more general "sharing". see exhibit A:

I saw that scene as a possible sharing / willing cuck scene as or a cheating scene. For me it wasn't an obvious cheating scene from the start. But looking back at the scene I can see how the faithful choices were all lies because it wouldn't make sense because of that scene. Tho as you play the game it does become more obvious how is more about cheating / NTR . I still wish certain things were done different cause the moment I forgot about that scene certain things made it seem like there was a chance for a faithful or sharing path as well.

I believe some here in this thread at least, agree that we are talking about proper NTS being about consensual sharing, otherwise it would fall under some form of NTR, and not actually be netorase (as I understand it at least)
How that "consent" actually plays out, and in what form, is what differentiates the types of sharing, but at its core, there is some form of discussed agreement about that between MC and FMC.
But, lose/break/abrogate the consent and its terms, and its NTR.
???

No I agree with the distinction from ntr - what I'm saying is in my experience there's also a subgenre difference between "netorase" style setups and more western "sharing/swinging" style setups. For example, the dialogue in something like "Love and Vice" is decidedly different than the above mentioned "Vulgar Revelrie"

Well yeah...sharing/swinging is what we are all here for, right?
Once again, the japanese terms are very misleading when trying to apply them in western cultures, perhaps, just a theory, mind you, but I believe it has to do with an historical cultural aspect of the society being deeply tied to the idea of shame, humiliation and embarrassment affecting almost all personal relations, even loving and sexual ones. Making all NTRs (netori,netorare, netorase) somewhat shameful or demeaning. Whereas most western societies have to be "driven" towards shame, lol. Some wouldn't know what the word meant, in some countries, haha.
